PyrotekBulk bullets for .223
Has anyone tried bulk bullets from Remington or Winchester? What can I expect from them accuracy wise?

<MontanaMarine>I've bought bulk Remington 55gr pointed soft point with cannelure in bulk. My 1/7 twist AR15A2 shoots them sub moa at 100 yards. MM

accracy wise they grouped about as good as the more expensive ones depends on the load and gun.you have to play with them but the same is true for premium bullets.

WyoManI have ruger M77 223 with aftermarket trigger. Using Winchester bulk 55 gr sp, chinese powder BW36 (no longer available thanks to Buddy Bill), and surplus brass it will group less than 1 inch 5 shot groups. Wish I could find some more of that powder.

<Dale>I have had excellent accuracy with the 55 gr. Rem PLHP in the .223 and the 50 gr. PLHP in the .222. They are my main varmint bullets. The Rem. SPs also shoot OK, but not nearly as well as the HPs. The Win. 55 gr. SP shoots about like the Rem. SPs. The PLHP is also really explosive on prairie dogs, ground squirrels, and rockchucks.

beemanbemeI've shot about a couple of tons of rem bulk 22 bullets (55gr psp) and am well pleased. I have some enroute now.
