Its best for you to seat them in your rifle until they touch the lands then back off a tad usually works without all the complication of doing it more techwise..find the sweet spot that way. If you feed them single shot, you will likely be able to seat it out longer then the mag box will allow. | |||

Load them kissing the lands and then back off in .02 increments. the VLDs like less jump than the hybrids typically. | |||

Yes, what they say; I am always amazed that reloaders get hung up on book OAL values. They are absolutely meaningless, usually. Your rifle, and only yours, is the gauge. Both throat and mag length. Adjust to suit. | |||

Thanks for the replies. I have reloaded for a long time, but not for the 6.5 Creedmoor. The Berger bullets looked really long so I loaded them to fit the magazine. Thanks again. | |||
