New Rifle BARREL IS PITTED

Just got a new win 70 300 wsm and it looks likle it got some moisture in the end of the barrel cause its pitted pretty bad the last 2 to 3 inches of the barrel. what do i do???? How do I contact Winchester?

that's what i would do......there's a good chance a respectable co. like winchester will make it right ....keep us updated on what happens.......

I would take it back to the dealer you bought it from. They should be willing to exchange it for an undamaged one!

I have had 2 new Winchester barrels that looked pitted; I believe it was actually their !@#$ hammer forging. They replaced one (new one didn't look much better than the old one) and I didn't even try on the other.
They will probably replace it for you.

I'd try trading it with the dealer first, then go through winchester. They are a good company and they should make things right.
