bja105There is data for BL-C2, which is the same spec (but not the same) as WC-846. So I'm sure it could be done, but on a low pressure round you may want a cronograph to guess pressure, since you won't find published WC-846 loads.
Lots of people suggest 3031 for 30-30. Don't listen to me, I could never match factory ammo accuracy.

craigsterThe 846 will work. Use BLC2 starting load data and work up. Only issue I have had is that light loads using 846 sometimes require mag primers for reliable ignition

And it's dirty at low pressure. 3031, 8208, H-4895

thecanadianLVR is my first choice in 30-30 powder, gives the best accuracy in my rifles. I have also used Varget, Alliant varmint, IMR 3031, and Big game to name a few.

L. RivardMany powders are usable in a 30-30, but after considerable experimentation I believe Varget to give the best accuracy and velocity with the common 125 to 170 bullet weights.

Dan HThe chrono is a good idea.....don't try and hotrod the 30-30 because with its lower pressure limits and thinner brass than the 7.62x51 and other current rifle rounds you don't get the pressure signs like flattening primers....

Scout Master 54For my Marlin 336 - .30/30 and Win 94 - .32 Spl. I got my best velocity & accuracy with AA 2520.

p dog shooterBe very careful with wc846 I had one jug that was very hot I had to reduce loads 20 percent below the lowest listed.
