I know this has been discussed many times but, I am having a problem with primers backing out about .002. The firearm is a New M70 Featherweight in 6.5x55. The brass is Lapua fire-formed in this rifle and neck sized with Lee Collet Necksizing Die. The load is 43gr of Hunter, 125gr Partition and WLR primers. 43gr of Hunter is about mid point between starting and max.

I know a week load can be the cause of primers backing out , but, this load I don't think would be considered week in the 6.5.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Soft brass.

Try a couple of Winchester or Remington cases.

I have a similar problem.

I recently shot up a batch of 223rem ammunition
that was originally loaded for my Mini14 back in JUN94.

the ammunition shot fine in my Mini-14 and in my brothers H-Bar at the time....

The load 55gr Winchester (Bulk) FMJ "Ball"
26.0gr of H335 (lot 91988) and lit off with a CCI-450 (Small rifle Magnum) primer all in LC-88 cases.

This ammunition shoots fine in my Rem700VSSF
considering that it breaks two of the rules for "accurate ammo" Small base sized cases
and cheap FMJ bullets...

the issue is that the first few shots from a cold barrel (30-35degF ambient temp)
the primers are "high", after the rifle warms up if I leave the cartridge in the chamber for several seconds (To let it warm up) the primer is "normal".

26grains of H335 with a 55gr bullet 0.3grains is below Max in Hornady, MAX in the Speer manual, about a grain above MAX in Nosler, so I can't understand why I'd be getting a low pressure indication....
