Here is what I have been loading. as should go without saying, use caution and start low. I will be developing more loads this spring as it is really hard to find load data for this round.

.323 Diam
Case-1.99"
Head diameter-.536
Rim diameter- .621
Neck diameter- .347
Neck length- .345
Loaded OAL- 2.75" to 2.88" max
Rim thickness- .065
Water volume- 60gr

IMR 4895-47.5 gr
Speer 170 gr spire pt
Avg vel 2410 fps

IMR 3031- 46gr
198gr spire pt
Avg vel 2380fps

The above recipies I obtained online and have not tested them yet.
The following I have loaded and tested and found no signs of pressure.

Speer 150gr spire pt
CCI BR2
IMR 4895- 47gr
Chrono at 2650fps
Rem brass

Sierra 175gr spitzer
CCI BR2
All below were Chronographed
Rl 22- 51gr @ 2030fps
52gr @ 2100
53gr @ 2175
54gr @ 2190
55gr @ 2245
Rem Brass

Nosler 180gr BT
CCI BR2
All below were Chronographed
RL 22- 56gr @ 2300fps
57gr @ 2347
58gr @ 2405
59gr @ 2447
60gr @ 2498
Rem Brass

THe Above load with RL 22 with 60gr was full and slightly compressed.
I hope this helps and it is awful fun to shoot now that Graff has brass for this as my Rem brass is dwindling down due to too many reloads.
As a side note, I am also finishing a custom sporter stock with cheek pad in black walnut beacuse this is a shooter and the stock that came on it when I bought it from a Pawn shop was cut down. I alo mounted a Scope on it. All the loads above with RL22 shot under 2" and the one at 59gr with the Nosler 180 BT shot just over an inch.

My best friend has an old Lebel that his Grandfather brought back from WWII.

He got in in Italy, from a Nazi camp that they over ran. He has expressed interest in getting some loads for it, and I will send this to him!

I have 2, my cherrished one has been handed down to me all the way from my Great Grandfather to my Grandfather at 16 then my Father at 16 then me at 16yrs old. I rarely shoot it. but my shooter is one I bought from a pawn shop a few years ago down in Fl. Heavily modified except barrel and reciever. The Graff brass is good and strong and heavier than the Rem brass I have been using. The grains in water weight I measured in the Graff brass. Best of luck to you and your friend.
