Lee no longer makes Lee Loader hammer tools for shotgun shells. My question is about using a 3" loader to load 2-3/4" shells, can this be done? Notice this picture of a part that Lee included in the 3" .410 Lee Loader: It says 2-7/8" hulls can be used in a 3" .410 Lee Loader. So, how about 2-1/2"? Anybody here have tried this sort of thing? Never used anything but normal 2.75 in my 20 gag lee. Wouldn't it simply be a different thickness spacer. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

Yeah, I think so. I ordered a spacer online , come in a few days, as is my Lee Loader coming in the mail, .410. Will be interesting to see if it works for 2-1/2" shells in the Lee loader which is a 3" model. Spacer was just a 6mm washer 12mm wide. 12mm is just under the rim width. Online video shows spacer width is just under the rim width. I think the rim is .524" wide in .410. Double Tops!
