Sawblade, I've tried several of the listed powders and settled on Hodgdon's Varget. It gave me the best accuracy in my Rem. M-700. H-4895 was the only powder that gave higher velocities, by 47 fps, than Varget. Although Varget is an extruded powder the kernels are small and meter well. Another consideration is that Varget is not temperature sensitive. The loads you work up in this part of the year willnot be hot come summer, nor will the point of impact change due to pressure changes. Good luck.

IMR4064 and IMR4895 are the best with high vel./great accuracy in all of my .308s. RE15 will give great accuracy, but I had a hard time getting up vel. without high pressure.

Try Varget or IMR-3031.

I have a 1/10 twist and 168gr HPBT 46gr Varget w/ CCI BR-2 primers is the best load I have worked up

I have to go with R-15 after trying most. Nice combination of velocity and low SD.
