Here's something I have never come across. While resizing 45 acp brass and cleaning the primer pockets, I noticed that some of the primer pockets were smaller than the rest. The headstamp is "W-W NT." I appears that this headstamp takes a small pistol primer. I haven't tried a small pistol primer. If this is the case, how do I adjust the charge verses what's in the reloading manual? OR the option I will probably use, just trash the "NT" head stamp brass?

Thanks guys,
Tony

It's WW envirofriendly "NT-SuoerClean" ammo. It's fine fore reloading. I would segrigate all the cases & load them as you would your regular load, substitute the small primer.

Throw them away. It's not like .45acp brass is rare. Not worth messing with to me.

I toss them. They will load OK but I don`t like the idea of missing one when priming and finding it when I try to shove a large primer in a small primer pocket.
Range/once fired brass is cheap I can be fussy.

I'd toss 'em. Do yourself a favor, get a 500 count bag of Starline brass when it goes on sale.

Looks like it is 50-50, tossing vs keeping. So I'd toss half and keep half. Wink

Seriously, 45acp brass is so cheap that it is hardly worth the trouble to keep them. You'll need two priming punches, two primer pocket cleaners, and two cigar boxes to keep them seperate, etc, etc. Sooner or later you will get sick and tired of all the bother and toss them so why not do it now. Maybe somebody will trade for them?

I tossed the few I ran across to keep from having headaches.

I have a question:
What is the differnt about the 45GAP. So I can watch out for them when loading.

45 Gap has a shorter case so it has the same length of a 9mm and can fit 9mm pistol designs.
I thought the WinClean cases also have an enlarged flash hole and shouldn't be used with standard primers?

I think I'll toss them unless anyone here wants them. I've only found 51 out of 500 with another 500 to sort thru. I broke my decap pin so it may be awhile before I finish sorting. They're for give away if anyone is interested?
Thanks for the link Fred !
