Does anyone out there have some Nosler published data for the 250 BT? I'm looking to start using this bullet in my 9.3x62 and would like to know the powders and range of weights that they recommend. I'll use it as a starting point for developing my loads.

Thanks in advance,
Brian

Well, I'd start with Reloader 15. You'll probably find a good load in the 57 to 60 grain range. Works in my 9.3 very well with all weights. I use Fed 210 primers and Graf cases. The nice thing about R-15 is that it works very well in several calibers, 35 Whelen, 308 and even 223, so you can experiment with it bit.

I agree about 58 grs. of RL-15 should be good, but always start 10% below recommendations and work up...

I don't know what kind of rifle you have, but if it is a modern rifle with good steel in it, try working up loads with Varget and the 250BT. I'd start at about 59grains, a 210M primer, a Norma or Lapua case for a velocity in a 23" barrel of 2400fps and work up. I think you will be surprised at how accurate, how consistent and how intense you can get with this powder. Work slowly and periodically section a case. It works with 270's and 286"s too. Kudude

This is from Nosler's web site.

I am going to try Ramshot BigGame this weekend. I have read good things about this powder in the 9.3 from some members of this site. I will be working my way up to a max of 65gr with 286 Nosler Partitions.

I have pages of tested loads, most have been chronographed and I have never found a powder to equal RL-15 in the 9.3x62 with any bullet weight, its like they were made for each other..I an get 2700 FPS with a near max load of RL-15 and a 250 gr. Bal Tip Nosler..albiet in a 26" barrel...2520 fps with a 286 Nosler, my favorite load and 2400 plus a tad with the wonderful 320 gr. Woodleigh, and an easy 2400 with the 300 gr. Swift..Its a great powder for a great caliber..I use Lapua brass, Fed 210 primers...
