New to the site and haven't reloaded in years. Heres my question? Is the biggest difference between the two Lee turret presses (the Classic 4hole and the standard 4hole) the materials their made from? ie: steel vs aluminum and combos of each? Thanks, Martin Yankee born and Rebel raised

I have the classic version and it has been perfect for me. Don't know about the other though. Love shooting precision and long range. Big bores too! Recent college grad, started a company called MK Machining where I'm developing a bullpup rifle chassis system.

If you read the reviews for both presses on MidWay's website, I believe you'll get the information you want.

I have both. The Classic cast is a much heavier duty unity and comes with a spent primer catcher and a new priming system. I hand prime all of mine so haven't used the new priming system. I load .308 on both and both have done excellent jobs for me. I would reccomend the new Classic Cast Turret as the spent primer tube is better than them going all over the place like on the original version. NRA Life Member
