Congrats on your purchase. If you are wanting reloading suggestions you are going to need to give more detail. Like: What do you plan to shoot. Bullet types Powders Etc. With probably a 100 or more bullets no tell how many powders the options would fill several loading manuals. TX asked is question because I'm sure like the rest of us he was confused as to what you want. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

I bet if you post on the "Medium Bore Rifles" you would get a lot more information about the rifle. I would suggest be specific. a 1:12 will get you 170s and below. http://www.shilen.com/calibersAndTwists.html Like you I have no clue as to the factory twist. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

For many of us, a CRF M-70 is the ONLY rifle we'll hunt big game with. In my experience they are as accurate as any other rifle with a similar contour barrel, and they are very reliable and durable.

I have shot four Winchester Model 70 Featherweights for a few years now and they all will shoot with pin point accuracy with my reloads. All are .270 WSM's and along with my grandsons use them for Deer and Elk. I have several buddies that shoot Model 70 Featherweights in various chamberings and use factory ammo with excellent results. Couple them with a good scope and you will have no problems. Good shooting. phurley

Vines, Are you talking about a new one? I bought one of the FN BACO ones in 270 about a year ago. Typical of FN the fit and finish are good. It is very accurate and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. Have gun- Will travel The value of a trophy is computed directly in terms of personal investment in its acquisition. Robert Ruark
