Any ideas on where to get brass for 458 Lott. Everybody seems to be waiting on Hornady to make a batch but does not seem to be any around.

Buy a length of 3/8 wooden dowel, cut it into short lengths. Glue a little circle of cardboard cut out with a chamfered 458 case to the dowel. A charge of pistol powder, the dowel slipped into the .375 case and chambered. The disc keeps the case centered in the chamber so you get a nice square mouthed case when it fireforms.

In fact I have a great Henriksen piloted finish reamer and a bunch of pilots, 2 throating reamers and a a 5 die set that will cover any and all Lott brass contingencies

Its real easy to make 458 Win or 458 Lott cases from 375 brass or 375 straight cases..trim and resize, fireform..I like WW brass much more than Hornady brass...

Nov 12th Redding auction has some
few boxes listed in the smalls lots
first 4 of 'em.

Quite a few boxes of ammo and primers,
several jugs of powders.
And some full 50 cal cans of loose bullets.
One in particular is full of 50 cal slugs.

When I could not find 458 Lott brass I was told to use 300 Win Mag loaded rounds. Fairly accurate at 50 yards out of the Lott and you do not have trim. I found brass before I had to try it.

After seeing a 7mmag case with split shoulder
that had been fired in my .300 Win.
I sure as hell wouldn't try that one!!
