ted thornWhat in the world is this dang mess
Picked these up at a local range yesterday
No doubt an attempt to creat a "custom" case
The brass is 7 RM and 300 WM
The "belt" has been filed down
The "rim" is mearly a snap ring
Length has been shortened quite a bit

dpcdYes, someone was trying to make large rimmed caliber brass with a slight shoulder. 43 Spanish or 44-77 Remington.

GrenadierWhat is the ID of the case mouths, Ted?
.

eagle27Perhaps the reason the cases were still laying around at the range was because the shooter was gas blinded and couldn't see to pick up his brass, novel but bloody stupid

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.
Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

jeffeossoperhaps trying to make 45/90 or 44/77
there was a fella that was posting that he was making 404 cases from HH cases -- this is about what I expected the results would be, but closer to the belt ...

J WisnerI had a good laugh about this.
There is a new post on the Cast Boolit forum about doing just this, a belted mag case to 43 Spainish
But that post was from a guy in Canada
He must have a cousin down here in your area?

AtkinsonIm thinking someone was smoking something funny, probably in Colorado. The store that ended up with those cases probably traded the funny stuff for them..
Lord knows how they got on AR, maybe Saeed got a deal on a hash pipe !
