Just worked up a good load using IMR4350 and the hornady 160 grain round nose bullet. 40.5 grains gave the best accuracy in a 1903 carbine. 3 shots touching at 50 yards, norma cases.

Can you use 6.5x55 data as a reference? I would think you can Generaly like H4350 with 129 gr bullets H4831 with Hornaday 160s R22 or full case of imr7828 with 140s .

Try an old Hornady or Sierra manual. They both have data. No DO NOT USE 6.5x55 Swede data.

You can use Arasaka and Carcano data but stay away from 6.5x55 data. roger Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..

The new Hornady, Weiderladen-RWS, Weiderladen-DEVA and Ladeboken manuals have good load data. Your first step is to have the bore slugged so you know what size/Brand of bullet you need.
