I realize that this is not a true reloading question, but I put it on the rimfire forum and no answers...so here goes. Does anyone know the chamber pressure of a 22 rimfire long rifle. I am not trying to pin down one brand, just want to get an idea what kind of pressure is there. thanks in advance. flutedchamber NRA LIFE MEMBER You can trust the government. As weird as it seems all 22 rimfires (short, long, long rifle, and magnums) have the same max pressure. The high performance ones use lighter bullets and slower powder. As an example a 22 lr will develop max velocity in a 15 inch barrel. The 22 stinger takes at least 24 inches. Good Luck! | |||
