I have been shooting the 200gr accubonds since they came out,
after trying several different powders I settled on the RL25
91.5 gr. I am shooting a sako 75 ss syn. It is an amazingly
accurate load.I group 1.5 at 300 yards. It also bucks the
wind very well. It also holds together real well! I started
with sirrocos and I had holes in target that were 5 times as long as round. also some that made several holes. My velocity is right around 2900.
Hang on as it thumps pretty hard.

I picked one up this Sept. at Bass Pro Shops when they were on sale with a rebate. It is a rem 700 BDL. I topped it with a VariXlll 3.5x10x40. The only powder I had on hand was IMR7828 and I loaded some with 180gr Partitions. While working up loads with this combo I hit a very accurate load at about 3150 fps. This gun shoots very well with this combo and I can't figure out what all the hoopla is about the recoil as I have shot the factory loads and my handloads. This is a very accurate rifle and I like this round. I went 3 for 3 on deer with this rifle/load from 75 to 175yds. It dropped them right in their tracks.

I deer hunt only and wanted something that shot at least as flat as my 25-06 with 100 Balistic Tips but a little more reliable on 250LBS + deer.I went after a 7 STW ,the store I went to had a new caliber.this was spring 2000.it was a 300 Magnum made by Rem.I thought the STW was flatter than a 300 Win,He said no this is a 300 Rem Magnum.I looked it over and bought the thing.

what I have now is a rifle throwing 150 Partitions flatter than a 220 Swift with 340 Weatherby energy numbers.

a lot of new calibers are al hype the 300 RUM is better than advertised.

I use IMR.7828 @ 87.5 gr. with 200 gr. nosler Accu-bonds @3113 fps. For some reason my Sako shoots better with the 200 gr. bullet better than 180's. also use federal 215 primer's.
