I want to make some blanks for a 15' encore. I do not want to use black powder at all. These will be used just as noise makers, scareing birds and such. Thanks in advance....lost

Use a fast burning pistol powder like Bulleye. 15 to 25 grs should do nicely. A couple of Walters .458 wads pressed down tightly against powder. You can also use a couple sheets of toilet paper tamped tight against powder also.

I have used 1/8" wads cut from blocks of florist foam from Wally World as wads. Cut a "sheet" from the block of foam and use the mouth of the case to cut the wad. Works well and cheap as all get out...
