I got a lot of loading info for my .44 using mostly cast bullets and Unique. I found 1000 200gr copper plated and 1000 xtp hp 240gr. thought I'd use the 200's in .44spl. and 240 in .44 mag The same recipes will work for both won't they? -still new - ps the last of some gas check 200gr. cast in .44 spl / 6gr. Unique do a great job knocking the ole farts plates for a loop. i love this handgun stuff - should have started years ago - probably would have saved a fortune on the skeet field shoot safe pop gunn

pop, not sure what you are asking but you can use the same data for lead bullets & plated bullets OF THE SAME WEIGHT. Go online to get loading data. http://recipes.alliantpowder.com/rg.taf?_function=pistolrevolver&step=1 You should have a couple of good loading manuals too. LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!

The only potential problem is very mild cast loads can cause a jacketed bullet to get stuck in the bore. A long standby mild accurate load for 240 gr cast or jacketed loads from the 44 mag is 7 gr of Unique for ~700 fps. __________________________________________________ The AR series of rounds, ridding the world of 7mm rem mags, one gun at a time.

Paul has a good point. This is especially true of the semi jacketed bullets that Speer makes. A plated bullet shouldn't have this problem though but I still like to stay above 800fps w/ any jacketed plated pills. LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!
