http://www.imrpowder.com/data/index.php This where I would start, then buy several loading books, experiment with loads, record results in a log book along with your load specs. and fire from the most stable rest you can rig......r in s.

H 380 is real popular for the 22-250 and H4350 should do well in the others.

RL19 for the 338 win mag and 30-06 ____________________________________ There are those who would misteach us that to stick in a rut is consistency - and a virtue, and that to climb out of the rut is inconsistency - and a vice. - Mark Twain | Chinese Proverb: When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others. ___________________________________

If I had to reduce my powder stock for rifle loads to just three, I think I'd choose IMR 4064, Hodgdon 4350, and Reloader 22 (Alliant). Right now I load for: 22-250 6mm Rem 257 Roberts 270 Winchester 7x57 30-06 300 Weatherby 375 H&H In the past I've loaded for: 223 243 25-06 260 Rem 308 338 Win Mag And possibly some others I've forgotten. If I were loading for .223, I'd have to add a fourth powder, probably Winchester 748 or maybe Hodgdon Benchmark. Except for 748 or Benchmark, none of those powders works in a powder measure very well -- the best powders for that are the ball types. But I usually weigh each charge individually, so the stick-type powders work well for me. Using one of the three powders I mentioned may not give an optimum load in every rifle caliber, but using one of those three will give a very good one for nearly any caliber and bullet combination that achieves over 2400 f.p.s. velocity, and will give optimum performance for some. I usually start with the recommended powder in one of the reloading manuals and work from there. For the .338 Mag. - it's Rldr-22 and a 225 gr. Northfork. I use the same powder in my .270 Win. too. Some guys complain about inconsistancy with Rldr-22 from 1 lot to the next. I can't say one way or the other but I do know it works in my 2 rifles. I second the statement about H-380 for 22.-25 38gr with 50gr. bullet. Also H4831 is good for the 30-06, not sure what charge sonewhere in the neighborhood of 57-59gr. Waiting to get my scope back to try them out. 7mm. guy shoot straight or shoot often.
