Dave JamesCurtis,All the 45-120 and 33 Winchester i have recieved from him have been boxer primed, haven't recieved the 577/450 yet but in talking to them it appears it will be boxer also.

<eldeguello>Depend on age and manufacturer. New OWS RWS stuff has boxer primers.

Curtis_Lemaythanks guys. i was thinking about ordering a few boxes of .577/.450 M-H, but I'd hate to spend that kind of money on something that i can't reuse.

RossThe .577-450 that I have from OWS is CBC (Brazilian) 24 ga shotshell brass with berdan primers. Since they also sell Bertram brass you might also get Boxer. The Berdan primer is no big problem, but the CBC primers are for shotgun pressures, and the RWS rifle primers are of dubious availability stateside.
The Martini Henry brass generally requires an aggressive annealing regimen.
I usually load mine schtzen-like without sizing.

Ross
