I am looking for your favorite .25/06 loads. I will be using the gun for varmint shooting, paper punching and WhitTail hunting. I would like to hear your favorite loads using 75gr. to 120 gr. bullets. Thanks!

I get very good accuracy and velocity using H4831SC, 117 gr Sierra Game Kings, WW brass and WW Large Rifle primers. Accuracy might be a tad bit better with Fed 210M primers, but the WW primers fit the case better. I'll post the load when I get home.

Shark bait Do you have EXCEL ? If you do, I have all my load data from the last year on a spread sheet which I could email to you. I have used many different powders but H4831, IMR 4831 and Norma MRP have consistently produced the best accuracy. I have also found that the 2506 generally shoots best when at max or near max loads

Hello Shark Bait. Not too far north of us. Just about 50 miles. My varmit load is 55.0 Win. 760 with Fed. 210m and 75 gr. v max. This load chronographs 3630 and shoots under 1/2 in. The Barnes 100 XLC is what I've been using for deer and hogs down south. With 56.0 gr. IMR 4831 and Fed. 210M the load will run 3485. You will have to play with seating depth on this one. For the sie.120 I'm using 57.0 RL 25 with the 210 M for 3200.

My favorite (out of the hornady manual) 56gr of IMR 7828 with 117 gr Hornady BT and 215 primer. Good for 3100-3200 fps and superb accuracy. I worked with many 25-06's and owned a whole bunch and all of them did MOA or better with this load. [Big Grin]

Hey Sharky,

Don't know how it'll work in your gun, or how safe it would be, but I load 100 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips in front of 56 grains of IMR4831 in Rem cases and Rem 91/2 primers. They shoot into less than 1/2" in two of my three rifles. Works great on everything from rockchucks to big mulies.
