How often do you purchase the updates for the software? I've had my software for a year and a half, I just got an update for my bullet and powder files but at $20 an update I wonder how often it is really necessary. Thoughts?

My bullet and powder files have been up dated, I just need to update the program.

I’ve been meaning to update the program for the last year or so, I just haven’t done it yet. I’m still running 3.2

From what I was told when I called about the update files that I used to be able to download they only update the bullet files, the only way to get updated powder files is to purchase the update. I have version 3.4 but my powder files are not current

Did you own 3.2? how does 3.4 compare to 3.2?

I've never used 3.2 , when I called them up about the update they mentioned they had 3.5 but the website still lists 3.4 so I'm thinking the must be launching 3.5 very soon.

I know I will be the minority here, but I have never found a need for QL or anything similar. I guess I prefer my own experience and tend not to trust programs as that, particular after problems and quirks have surfaced since its inception.

I know there are benefits, but it's just not for me.

Absolutely. Not only do they add new data, also some powders have been modified. It's a great program, the piece of software I like most.

It's just a pity it doesn't run under Linux. If it would, Bill Gates would disappear from my computer...

There was a link on their website for the bullet update, I no longer see that free update available. I'm pretty sure I've seen Broemel online over at 24hour campfire forums under the reloading software forum.

I'm with you on this one. I've also found the trajectory tables don't agree with real world results.
I started reloading in 1960 and have gotten by just fine without one. I have RCBS Load on my p/c but never use it for the same reasons.

QL isn’t a program for every one. For most people the cost of QL would be better spent on expanding their printed reloading book libraries.
