Does anyone besides Wilson make a hand die that does not require a press? Lee is not an option. Wilson makes great dies and can be used readily in the field but only go up to 35 cal. Happiness is a warm gun

There are several others. One guys makes dies in both forms - the press type and the hand type. I have had a few of his tools for the old 6X47 Remington for about 30 years. His work is of very high quality so expect to pay for it. His name is Neil Jones Neil Jones Hand dies R W Hart used to make and sell dies but their site does not mention it now. you might call them and ask them who else makes hand dies now. Hart is the guy that makes the excellent Hart Heavy Varmit bench rest that is used by tens of thousands of shooters especially benchresters. R W Hart

If I understand correctly, you're looking for a "nut cracker" style tool. If so, RCBS used to make them. I've seen them in the online catalog. Dunno if they make 'em now or not. Ya might wanna check. Yes that is correct. These dies do not need any type of press. You can reload right in the back of the truck while in the field. I know Bobby Hart and will check with him. I have not had much luck otherwise. I love Wilson dies for this but they stop at 35 cal. Can have someone ream them out with a lathe to get to 416 but kind of defeats the point of buying "premade" dies. Might as well make them from scratch at that point. I don't know the other gent you referred me to but will sure look into it. Thanks for the leads! Anyone else has any other makers out there please add them to the list. Happiness is a warm gun

If you check you won't find Wilson bushing larger than .369 and that works up to 338 cal and Redding did same for their type S bushing dies. I was lucky for my 35 WhelenAI as Wilson makes a standard seater and had that reamer out to the 35WhelenAI then gunsmith took 30-06 neck die and open that up for the 35 WhelenAI then made me some bushing. If Neil Jones make set of bushing dies for the arbor press depending on how long those cases are you might need the B-Square press. If your truck has trailer hitch you could use that make something waist high bolt reloading press too. VFW
