I have the A-Square Manual but it only lists 480 gr. A-Square Solid. Let me know if you would like that information.

Terry:

Data is available for this cartridge. I've loaded for the Jeffery version, but not the Eley version that you have.

I presume this is for a double?

I'd start with 95 grains RL 15, using Federal 215 primers and work up a grain at a time shooting over a chronograph, and stop when the barrels come together, or when you reach standard velocity as adjusted for barrel length, whichever comes first. The standard velocity of 2200 fps for this cartridge was taken in 28" barrels, so if your gun has 26", I'd quit at 2150 fps.

Another option would be IMR 4831. I'd start at 108 grains and work up.

RL 15 will require a filler in this case, and 4831 probably will. Use either Kynoch foam wads or enough Dacron to fill the case with some compression.

I assume you've slugged the bore and are certain that this is the Eley version?
