Just getting ready to load up some to test and can't find much information other that you can use starting info for the .308 Norma Magnum for a reference. It appears the Norma case is longer than a .338 Win Mag case. Is the trim/max lengths on the .30-.338 the same as the parent case? Thanks.

It would depend on the reamer used to create the chamber. Your best bet would be to get the piece from Sinclair that fits in a shortened case. You can measure your chamber length using it. Subtract 0.020 from your measurement, and use the resultant as your max case length.

300 The nominal CL for the 308 Norma is longer than the nominal CL for the 338 Winchester, by .060". However, the CL for a wildcat is going to be whatever length they are when they come out of the chamber. You should simply trim your 30-338 cases to whatever the shortest ones are (discarding any that are grossly short) assuming that the chamber will allow. Most chambers are cut to allow cases longer than "book" length, some quite a bit longer. Measure everything and you'll know exactly what you can and can't do. That's why they're called wildcats.
