Does anyone know of a source for these actions to build a custom rifle? Remington doesn't sell actions and I've heard that SAKO no longer does since Beretta took over importing them. Any suggestions for finding one of these actions? Thanks.

Brownell's carries Sako 75 Actions and you might try

Chester's Hunting & Fishing
1075 Portion Road
Farmingville, NY 11738
(516) 696-3800

Chester's use to have an ad in The Varmint Hunter Magazine. They use to sell Remington 40X actions I don't know if they are still selling them or not. Try them first.

Good Luck finding a Sako 75 action. Brownell's only had the PPC size left in their inventory. Jerry's Sports Centers carried them and closed them out. (a few months ago)
I was looking for a IV or V and finally gave in and purchased a new complete .375 Stainless Synthetic. It is a nice rifle-I like it too much to dismantle it for the action. The stock is very solid despite internet drivel to the contrary.
Let us know if you find a source for actions!

Try Accuflite. They carry Sako parts, however, they're expensive. Dr. Lou

My suggestion, is decide which you want to use and buy a slightly used gun in that action and keep the extra parts for some other project. I have found good guns cheaper and easier to find than plain actions.

If you do not find a Sako action. (I'm sorry but I don't think you will. I had to buy a new complete rifle to get one myself.)

But check out Tikka actions. They are considered to be just as good, here in scandinavia.
Or be original and check out Schultz & Larsen (also known as Otterup)
