bigbullHow Big Is Your Brass
I purchased a bunch of new brass cases today and was shocked at how small the cases were. The 223 brass was .371 and the 308 Win brass was .463 at the head

this is I think as small as I have ever seen these cases. What has your experiences been!

johnchLOL I took some stuff in to the scrap yard a few weeks ago.
The price of scrap yellow brass is Way up .

So maybe they are just doing some cost cutting

and charging you full/rape price
Just think , they saved what 5 , maybe 10 grains a case
Just think after 1,000,000 they have a few $$
I have seen some that I thought was small , but not that small
Head sizes like that could cause extraction problems , if not worse

sputsterThat's wild. I measured a few cases from a bag of factory new Remington 308 brass that I bought yesterday, it miked at .469" compared to .4709" in the Speer manual.

That is excellent and would work perfectly, In my case I'm not shure if I should try to fireform it or return it, I know that I would get a pretty big bulge at the head!
