Do they require lube? is the 6.5 die short enough for the 6.5 Grendel?

I suggest you use lube on any sizing operation.

It helps prolong case life.

I only comment on the first part of your question - use Imperial Graphite lubrication for neck sizing. It works excellent.

I typically don't use lube when neck sizing with Forster neck sizing dies but they are hand powered. I could anneal if I feel the case necks are cracking too early in their useful life.
