I cannot find a factory crimp for my .257 Wby Mag reloads. Does anyone know if the 25-06 Lee Factory Crimp could be made to work on the .257 Wby Mag, or is there anyone else who makes a factory crimp for this caliber? Confused

Red:

Lee will make a Factory Crimp die for the .257WBY. Check out their site www.leeprecision.com You will need to send them a dummy cartridge for sizing.

Good Luck.

There is absolutely NO reason to crimp a 257 Wby.

I know there are pros and cons about crimping vs non-crimping. Why do you say what you say about the .257 Wby Mag? I wasn't wanting to crimp because I thought the bullets would move in the cases in the magazine. I have come to believe that the ammo I use the Lee Factory Crimp on have tighter, more consistent groups. If my memory serves me correctly, even AR tests on crimping vs non-crimping seemed to show that the crimped ammo shot tighter groups. I doubt that we'll settle this here, but I'm open to input on the matter and appreciate your response to my post. Smiler
