Just as the title says. So far I have tried Varget. Being new to the 9.3x62mm & seeing what they can do, I am looking for ideas & experiences? How far to seat off the lands? Right now I am at a COL of 3.380 which puts me at 10 thousandths off the lands. My internal box is 3.600, so I am having no feeding issues. It is a 23" 1-12 twist. Here is the results thus far. The 286gr are cooking, just need to fine tune the 250gr. Any help would be great. ______________________ Did I mention I love Sako's

I haven't shot the Accubond, but my 9.3 x 62 shoots little tiny groups with the Barnes 250 X and 59.0 of RL-15...

My 9.3x62 has a long throat...with the AB, lands distance is 3.557". My accuracy load is to use enough R-15 for 2625 fps at 3.325" COL. I had to keep seating deeper and deeper until all three shots stayed MOA or better (2 dozen three shot groups have demonstrated this consistency ). I've never owned a rifle that liked to be seated as deep as this...but hey...it's working. As well as your 286 gr load is shooting...I wouldn't bother with 250's

Wookie My old Husquvarna 9.3x62 seems to like 4320 with the 250 gr Noslers. From about 58 up to 60 grs all shoot very well. ^0 is MAx so I would suggest starting about 55 or 56 and working up. Hope this helps.

My Blaser R-93 Tracker in 9.3x62 shoots the 250 gr Accubonds into one hole at 100 yards. My load is... 250 gr Accubond 55 grs Varget CCI 250 primer in virgin Lapua brass This is the first year that I have hunted with my 9.3, and it has accounted for 6 deer so far. There is much less meat damage with the 250 gr Accubond than I have gotten shooting 165 gr Corelokt out of my 308.

AS stated above; Varget or R/L 15. Check the Nosler and Speer manuals. I have developed loads for each of those bullets that keep the tacks driven. It is a forgiving cartridge. LD

Try Ram Shot Big Game. My go to load for 286gr bullets (Nosler, Norma, Woodleigh)is 65gr. I use standard large rifle primers and the load has proven well in both Graf and Norma cases. I found that 65gr also works very well for 232gr (Norma) and 250gr (Woodleigh, Hawk) bullets. I've gotten higher velocity with Varget, especially with the 232gr., but, with 65gr. of Big Game all three bullet weights will group within 2 inches vertically with the same scope setting. Velocity ranges from 2400 to 2550. Accuracy is consistantly under 2 inches, not too bad for a rifle that weighs 8 pounds with sling and full magazine. I'm a bit suspect of 232gr bullets after I had some wierd stuff happen with 232gr Norma Oryx's. The bullet did exactly what it was supposed to do, expand and hold together, loosing almost no weight, animals were DRT so that's not it. However, twice now I've recovered a slug that lookes "flat", wider than high. In both instances the bullet appeared to "skid" at some point after impact and were found under the hide at a severe angle from the direction of travel at impact. I would still use the bullet on deer and antelope (I suspect this is the size game the bullet was desigened for) but have some reservations on elk. 286gr. Nosler Partitions are the hammer of Thor on elk and the african game I've shot with them. I've had extremely good luck with Accubonds in my 270 perhaps I'll give the 250gr. 9.3's a try after I work through the several boxes of other bullets I have on hand.
