I am looking for some advice on a powder choice for the 280 Rem/7MM express. So far I have tried IMR 4350, would like others to try. I am loading 160gr Nosler Partitions. I was thinking about IMR 7828, what do you think? Any help would be great. Thanks

Steve, this has been a great powder for me in my .280. I worked up to 57gr under a 160grNP for 2850fps+ from my 23" bbl. It's a 1moa or better load. 55.5gr H4831sc is a close 2nd giving sim. accuracy but about 50fps less vel. WORK UP TO THESE LOADS, THEY ARE NEAR MAX. IN MY RIFLE.

Howdy, Try H4350 and 54831 either the SC or regular. I also have used several different 4895s and Varget for lighter weight bullets. You should do fine with these! Coach

IMR-4831 gets my vote in the .280, at least for 140-150 gr bullets. -Lou

IMR4831 & 4350 are good w/ the 160gr pills as well, vel. will be a bit slower, 50-100fps, than 7828, H1000 or RL25.
