The load I use with the .376/.416 Steyr Improved (Aagaard) with the 350 gr Speer Mag tip is 61.0 gr H335 using Winchester Large Rifle primers at an OAL of 3.200" on fireformed brass. This load does NOT use the crimp groove in the bullet! (I use a 400 gr cast bullet load to fireform cases after sizing.) Is not a light load but in my rifle is not a very high pressure load either. My rifle is an FN made commercial Higgins action with a Douglas barrel. Obviously good to start lower and work up ... especially if you're going to use a shorter OAL. Have not taken game with the bullet yet so do not know how it reacts on impact at abt 2200 fps. Mike -------------- DRSS, Womper's Club, NRA Life Member/Charter Member NRA Golden Eagles ...
