Problem getting 50grn Blitzkings to shoot!?!

I've been experimenting with bullets in my new 22-250 (which will be an Ackley Improved after a little augmentation) and I like the Sierra bullets but I can't seem to get the 50 grn Blitzkings to shoot. I am getting better groups with Sierra Varminter spitzers, Speer TNT, Berger MEF, and the Barnes VLC's(which don't seem to expand very quickly) are grouping the best. the BlitzKings are very explosive and can handle the hotter loads so I would like to keep trying but I was curious if anybody was getting the 50 grn Blitzkings to shoot. If so what's your load? I've been using H380, W760, and Varget. Any load suggestions or experience would be appreciated.

I can't speak for the .22-250 but the 50 gr Blitzkings are one of my favorite varmint bullets next to the 40 gr V-max. I use them with 26.5 gr of H-335 which is a bit fast for your application but would probably work fine with Varget or 748.
Having my .223 converted to AI as I type this post. Can't wait to get it back and see what it will do.

My rifle is the same way.For some reason it doesnt like boat-tailed bullets. You might give the 40gr-blitz a try, mine will do less than 1/2 with 41gr of H-380.I think its something to do with the gas seal.Loves the Berger flat-based also.

The 50 gr Blitz Kings that I have shoot very well. I was thinking of getting a 500 pc box. Some guns like some bullets and not others. Maybe yours are defective? Give ten of them to a friend to load and shoot for you.

The tip on that bullet is very long. If your using the same seating stem setting your pushing the bullet into the case more than conventional bullets.

The Sierra manual shows RL 15 for an accuracy load with Fed 210 M primers and 50 gr bullets.

If the 22/250 shoots with other bullets just use it as is.

Thanks for the response fellas. I'll probably play around with it a little more.

May all your bullets fly through one hole.

Try the Sierra 50gr Blitz (not blitzking) bullet it doesn't have a fancy polymer tip but it has shot very well for me in several different rifles.
