This has got to be one of the most lame things I have ever heard. I went to pick up my .404 from the gunsmith, he was doing a bit of fine tuning on the express sight. He told me a story about a guy who brought in a rifle bbl. w/ a case stuck in it, sheared off @ the head. He asks if it can be fixed. My guy says, yes no problem, we'll get the case out, polish the chamber up & reinstall & headspace. "Where is the rest of th rifle", my smith asks. The guy says it's gone, blown up! Long story short the guy HAD a nice custom M98 in .25-06. He wanted to start reloading so went to a gun show & found some cheap powder. ASks the guy if he can use it in his .25-06. The guy tells him yeh, it'll work. He asks about load info. & the guy tells him to just fill the case & drop a bullet on it. Turns out the powder was RedDot! I think the guy is lucky to be alive, not a scratch, just a bruise where the scope hit him in the forehead when the action let go! UNBELEIVABLE!

At a shop in CT they have a small Sako action in the case that's split open at the front ring. The shooter did the same thing and loaded up a pistol powder in a 223. They say the barrel was still good. That's a good way for a rifle to fail and it seems to be the problem with the Blaser 93's.
