The WCC846 continues to show good results but is dirty.
if you can find 8208 buy it.
Notice the 7383 entry.It looks like max or near max pressure. Remeber this is quirky stuff.

Paul BraskyRoger, I'm not surprised 41gr. IMR 7383 showed pressure signs with a 95gr. bullet since my lot did the same with lighter bullets. I'm using 85gr. Sierra SP's and 87gr. Hornady BTSP's with no more than 41gr. for that very reason. Actually 40gr. is even better since it -> ~3,000 fps (from a 26" bbl.), great accuracy and moderate pressure.

If you have any new info on 7383 please post or send it to me and I'll eventually post an addendum to the report. It was nice working with a man of your caliber on this project.

Paul BraskyRoger, I have some data for IMR 7383 in the .30-06, but it is limited to 125gr. SP's that I had on hand. I used Rem. & Win. brass, WLR primers and 55gr. IMR 7383 v. 55gr. IMR 4350 in a 22" bbl'ed Win. Mod. 70 Westerner (blind mag.):
55gr. 4350 -> 2,545fps; SD = 23; ES = 64 (n = 4)
55gr. 7383 -> 2,697fps; SD = 22; ES = 77 (n=22)
Although I didn't note it, the 7383 loads were compressed. Accuracy was excellent and pressure was moderate; i.e, about the same as I got from 4350 judging by primer appearance and extraction. Btw, I attempted to load 7383 in 8mm Mau. brass with 150gr. SP's, but couldn't even get 50grs. into the cases.
Two things to note from the above and past experience with 7383: First, it appears to be sensitive to ambient temperature. Thus I'd drop back at least 1gr. when the outside temp. exceeds 85 deg. Second, it isn't the best powder for all cartridges, the 8mm Mau. for example. IMR 4064 is much better suited to the 8mm Mau. than either IMR 4350 or IMR 7383.
