So I am running out of my favorite H4350 and IMR 4350 and for that matter H4831sc and my supplier doesn't know when he's getting more. So I think this is a fine time to use up the powders I do have on hand and maybe find a new load. So here's what I have on hand for bullets, Nosler Parts 165s and 180s. For powder, I have plenty of IMR 4064, 4895, 3031 and N165 just to throw that in there. So does anyone have a pet load they would like to share that has been proven the world over for accuracy and hunting capabilities. Thanks.

The 4895 was made for the 30-06 and the 4064 is a great performer in that cartridge. The 3031 may push a bullet over 150 grains a little slower but not much. You seem to be in good shape with what you got. roger Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! I'd give preference to the IMR-4064

4064 is my powder for the 06, with 4895 my second choice. However this is with 150 gr. bullets.

in shooting an 06, I'd rather have the IMR 4895,4064 and 3031 on hand than a ton of 4350... in fact if I had to stock 3 powders for all of my big game and varmint shooting...those would be the three sitting on my shelves...

any of your powders listed should be fine. I have been using 4320 lately, with just enough powder to get around 2750 fps with the 150gr.Seems to kill as well at the short ranges we have here in MN. ****************************************************************** SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM ***********

For use with both 150 and 168 grain bullets, try 46.5 grains of either H4895 or IMR4895, or 47.5 grains of IMR4064. These loads are standard "go to loads" for M1 Garand competition shooters. Not too hot, and these loads are very accurate. Regards, Bill.

I just worked up a load for a friend using 51.5gr of IMR4064 and 150gr Hornady's. I generally start with IMR4350 in 30-06's and then try IMR4064 if the 4350 doesn't group well.
