This will proably sound quite trivia to most, but I thought I would ask it anyway. I have always used the old RCBS pad and lube to oil the cases. Today I decided to move up to the spray lube and purchased a bottle of Dillon spray case oil. I know the people well where I purchased it and they reload a big bunch. So they explained about the cookie sheet in the pan and sprying lite a couple times and shakin the cases. But with the old lube any on the shoulder would crimp the shoulder. What about this oil? Will it do the same? And I guess you just wet a nylon brush for the inside of the case. Don't laugh I have never tried this stuff and forgot to ask them!

I started using spray lube years ago and won't go back to rolling the cases on a pad. I spray the cases from four directions and down at an angle to allow a little spray to go into the necks. This takes care of the inside neck lube problem. Some practice is needed to get the right amount of lube on the cases. At first better to over lube than stick a case in the die. After a while it's like old hat. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." Blob, fwiw, I started rolling cases on a lubed pad or rag and then switched over to the sprays.Wrong! I'm back to rolling the cases on a Bardahl saturated rag. I'm not sure but I think I sent my last 3 or 4 bottels of Lyman spray to Vapo dog for postage only. I do a good bit of wildcat case forming and with the Bardahl so far( cross my fingers )there has never been any shoulder wrinkling;NONE. I must be way out of the loop. I use cheap, dollar store cooking spray that costs-- a dollar. It works well, cleans up with hot water and dish soap and leaves no oily residue if you wash them thoroughly and rinse them even more thoroughly. I've been doing this for several thousand cases and I see no problems with it.

I like to use a plastic tub that ice cream comes in. Spray the cases and shake them around, then jiggle the tub and they will all line up and you can give the case mouths a shot too. Almost takes less time to do it that to tell it. Anymore, I only use spray lubes for the dillon, and use imperial size wax for everything else. for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside

I pretty much use the same procedure as Mark. If I use a die with an expander, I first line up the cases in a container (mine is a cardboard box), and spray just a bit of lube into the case mouths, I then shake the container, spray a couple of times, shake again, and leave it to sit until the solvent has evaporated. I use Hornady 1-Shot lube, and have been happy with it. I only lube this way if I have to size quite a few cases at a time. For just a few cases, I use Imperial. - mike ********************* The rifle is a noble weapon...
