Has anyone used the 350 grain Speer in a 416 Mag? I'm going to build a 416 Remington and am trying to collect some info on the various bullets.
Thanks, Joe.

JMac, I have used Speer 350 Mag. tips in my 416 Weatherby. I have not tried them on game , but they proved to be accurate in my rifle with Vn. 560 powder.

I load 350gr Speer Mag Tips to 2680fps in my .416 Rem using Varget. This load gives honest one inch groups at 100yds. I shot a black bear with it this spring and he dropped like a bus hit him. Large exit hole no bullet recovery, 155yds, bear weighed 274lbs.

Thanks guys.
I expect the 400 grain Partition to work like all Partitions. The Barnes Xs to work like we expect an X to work, IF the gun will shoot 'em.
Just don't hear or read much about the Speer.I've had mixed results with the Speer bullets in smaller calibers. Usually not the worst accuracy but not the best either.
Thanks again, Joe.
