Hi all. Anyone have experience with this powder in the 303 Brit? (Available to me as AR2209). It works great under a 180gr bullet and I use it for paper patch loads in my other rifles with heavy bullets (217gr). I don't want to use Varget/AR2208 because it looks identical to AR2209/H4350. In my 30/40 Krag (almost the same cartridge) 45 gr. of 4350 gives 2200 fps with a 180 gr roundnose bullet. This matches factory loading. Should work fine for you. Good luck!

Thanks. I use it with a 180gr bullet at the moment and get very good accuracy even though the bore is 'rust textured'. It has a very even fine pitting which makes it hopeless for cast bullets but there is no loss of actual dimensions. I use a waxy-lube wad to keep the bore lubed but mainly to protect the inside of the non-removeable suppressor-break from corrotion. Now I want to change to 150gr bullets for increased range for small targets. Avaiability is a factor too. Regards 303Guy

I was loading 44-46 gn Varget - 2208 with the 150gn Hornady and I see the Lee book says 45 - 48 gn H4350 - 2209. I used 2208 for the 150gn 303 bullet because I put it in the same light bullet for the cartridge category as I did for the 140gn bullet in my 7x57 where I also got better velocity and accuracy and used the 2209 fpor the heavier bullets in each cartridge. Yup. That's what I figured. It'll work but will not give the velocity I would like. It might give the accuracy. Regards 303Guy
