What powder is giving you the best accuracy with the 210 gr. NP in your .338?

H4350;RL19;N160 and N550 all work pretty well in just about that order for me. Haven't tried H414 and AA4350 which should also work.

Mine is very happy with IMR 4350, so I have never bothered to try any of the others.

I use original surplus 4831 with the Noser 210, which has a burning rate about halfway in between current production H4831 and IMR 7828. This powder is very good in my rifle, but may be a bit slow for maximum velocities in others.

I would suggest trying H4831 and/or IMR 7828, and don't be afraid to compress them a reasonable amount if necessary.

Although I haven't used it, Reloader 22 should be near tops in velocity with the 210 grain.

I would like to suggest that you try the following:

Winchester cases
210 grain Nosler Partition
Federal 215 or 215M primer
Alliant Reloder 22 powder

In the over 10 rifles I have used this combination they all have achieve sub-moa accuracy at fine velocities.

My load for the 338 win is 210 Nolser part is R19 76 Gr Win case fed primers 210 larger rifle not the mag 215 3007ft lower preasure than R22 in my rifles 24 in tube bolt ruger. Group size .458 at 100yrds.
I am looking for failsafe to come out with a non-moly bullet, I think I like the 230 gr.

My favorit is 210nosler CCI mag primer
and 75grs N160. Not very hot, 2970fps from a 26" Shilen SS, but very accurate once I found the right seating deepth! It`s comming with me to South Africe in 3 weeks.

The load that worked best for me came strate out of the Nosler #4 manual as fallows:

210 grain Partition
72 grains RL-19
Winchester brass
Federal #215 Lg Mag Rfl/pmr
Velocity 2860 f.p.s
Cartrage O.A.L set at 3.700 to ogive, as measured with a Stonypoint comparitore

This load produced an average three shot 100yrd .431" group, and average 100yrd .706" five shot group. Smallest 3 shot 100yrd group was measured at .344". This is out of a 100% factory 700 BDL SST/SYN W/DBM. This load was also listed as most accurate for this powder and bullet combo.

If you are interested in any other loads for the .338wm, let me know I have loads that I've developed using 200grn B/Ts, 225&250grn Speer G/Ss, 225grn N/Ps, 250grn N/PGs-MF, and Hornaday Interlocks in 200, 225, and 250Grn. All are under 1.0" for three shots at 100yrds, and most of the Nosler loads are ones that the Nosler manual lists as most accurate. One thing I've come to find out about the .338wm is that its not to picky about what reloads you feed it as long as you make them correctly, consistantly, and with consoistantcy being the key. My gun absulutely loves RL-22 and RL-19, but I got more than satisfactory results using IMR- 4831, 4350, and 7828. Its just with the RL-22, and RL-19 my gun will consistantly shoot 100yrd three shot groups under .5", with over a dozen groups btwm .360" & .400". I use RL-22 for all bullets over 210 grains, and RL-19 for all my 200 & 210 grain bullets.

Big foot I am interested in your 250 Nosler loads I am shooting 24" Ruger Mark 2 and have not yet worked up tha 250 grain loard . I have some folks I know who state the their ruger shoots real well under .5 with 200 or 210 grain bullets but with the 250 grain it opens up to 1.60 unexceptable for me.

Thank guys for the input. I needed the jump start as I booked a list minute hunt and have only a month to work up a load - I think the 210 NP will be perfect.

I did try H-414 (a favorite powder) but the rifle didn't like it.
