Zeke , G.I. Joes sometimes carries brass. I also believe that Northwest Armory (on Macadam in Portland)carries Remington. I'd also call Sportsmans Warehouse in Salem (Santiam Pass Exit off I5). Sportsmans Warehouse is sure to carry Remington as well as Winchester. But it proabably depends on which caliber you're looking for. -Steve

I am right down the street from Sportsman's Warehouse. They only carry Winchester bulk brass. The bag that I bought was not very good. I am going back to Remington. I'll try the other places. Loading for 270 Winchester. Thanks ZM

Wow, I would have thought that Sportsmans Warehouse would have had carried Remington in .270 Win, for sure. Sorry for the bum steer. Here's the number for NW Armory - 1-888-788-4632. After my poor advice, you might want to call ahead before making drive up here. If they don't have it I'm sure they can tell you who might. -Steve

Fishermans Marine has Remington Brass. There is one in Oregon City and another on Hayden Island, both are within 5 minutes of the freeway. You may want to call and check to see if they have the 270 though.

You can also use 30-06 brass and sizing it down using your existing dies. Many moons ago, I got the surplus brass and used a 270 die for the first step-down to 25-06. The 270 die worked great.

Did you try Ole's Gun Shop? If he does'nt have it he can probably get it for you. They don't even carry Rem primers at the Warehouse!I think theres a place or two in Albany and Philomath that may have it but don't have the names, check the phone book. Jeff

Found some Remington brass at Fishermans Marine & Outdoors at Delta Park. Prices are high but still cheaper than mail order. Bought some Winchester brass locally last week and the batch turned out to be very bad. Loose primer pockets and horrible neck runout, none of the brass went under .003" and 17 pieces went over .005". I primed 40 pieces with my Lee hand primer and all of the primers went in WAY too easy, easier then new cases should go. I will be very interested in how they shoot. I would take them all back if I could. Real crappy brass. The Remington brass I bought today all sized under .002" neck runout for the first twenty pieces.
