I picked up one of these yesterday and don't know a lot about the round other than, 180gr soft point at 1800fps and the fact it's OBSOLETE. Any load data or recomendations??

You picked a hard row to hoe, NB. Try Old Western Scrounger. First problem is that the bullet really is .351 and you are going to have to find a supply or a mould that will cast them.

Second problem is going to be cases. It's a semi rim and there is nothing quite right. Years ago, a fellow got me to cut off a couple of hundred .223 to his specs. He claimed he got them to work.

Were I to try it today for myself, I would start out with .357 Max cases. Take a good bit of work and when you got them made, you would still have that autoloader throwing them into the bushes.

CotW shows 19 grains of 2400 and 20 grains of 4227 behind a 180 grain bullet. Using cobbled up cases, I would start way under that and work up to just where the action worked reliably.

Better you than me, but have fun and good luck.

Ammo Depot used to carry the ammo made from 357 max brass. Cheaper than scrounger. They also used to resize bullets for a price. Like .357 to .351.

Just checked their web site, and they seem to have everything you need. Including Factory Crimp Dies. Just search on 351. Site is
www.ammodepot.com.
