The new Hodgdon powder, Hybrid 100V (?) seems like the numbers would be very good for the 257 Roberts, as well as many other calibers, but the heaviest bulet Hodgdon publishes data for is 115gr. 117gr. is not all that much different than the 115, but the 120s ??

Has anyone actually seen the powder, or used it, or seen anyone who has actual loading figures?

I bought a pound to try on a new .375 Ruger that I had built on a pre-64 Model 70 action. I worked up a series of increasing loads with 300 gr. Hornady RN. Hogdon's data lists a max load of 78.5 gr yielding 2645 fps. I stopped at 78.0 gr, and was registering 2675 fps over a PACT chrono that has been checked against several others and seems to be consistently accurate. Standard deviations are running about 10, extreme spreads about 30 fps., and accuracy is one hole at 50 yd., well under 1" at 100 yards. The powder meters very easily, like a very short-grained extruded powder, but not quite as round or slick as a ball powder. At this near max load it fils the case past the base of the bullet, so the load is slightly compressed. Overall I am very pleased with the powder, and am now starting to play with 300 gr. Swift A Frames, hoping to get similar accuracy and consistency. If not, I'll try H4350 and IMT 4831.
