I don't use 4350(either kind) in my .260 but according to the Lyman 48th, that would be a hot load. Your velocity figures pretty much match what the book shows so maybe someone with one of the programs can tell you what kinda pressure you're running.

those are not my velocity figures, they are what was shown on the reloading page. i would not dare load that. my .260 likes 41 grs of RL-15

Most of their loads are with moly coated bullets. Their rifles are special built. The top loads are hot. Be careful when using them.

willieb, [There rifles are special built]

260 REMINGTON

The following data was developed in a Ruger M77 rifle. We got the rifle second hand, it was in 243 Winchester caliber. It had quite a few dents and scratches in the stock. Part of the stock was actually rotted away from a liberal application of some sort of penetrating oil. The bolt release lever was missing, so we had to replace it with a home made part.

this is what i read..

I would heed the advice from willieb. The top end of most of Saeed's loads are very hot. I tried one once, never again.

Hodgdons web site claims 46.5gr of H4350 is max for 2960 fps at 58,200 PSI with a Speer 120gr SP.

I haven`t used that powder in mine, but 43.5gr of IMR4350 under a Nosler 120gr BT gave me 2930fps and excellent accuracy so I quit there. My rifle is a Kimber M84 with a 22" bbl.

I suspect 49gr of H4350 would be way over the top in my rifle.
