Looking for live data.
How much more case volume is there? How much better was the performance?

Do you still have the reamer?

Has any one?

Later...

Have you reached the end of 8x57 and still want more?

8mm:
I worked up a 1.5" 3 shot group with 47 gr IMR4895 and a pulled Yugo 200
gr FMJ with one of my beat up 1903 Turkish Mausers.

The 1938 Turkish Mausers are like new and just as cheap [$40 wholesale].

8x57mm. 200 gr Yugo bullets, CCI 200, IMR4895, Collet neck, no crimp, RP
brass, and 3.160" I looked at different load books for IMR4895 powder
loads for the 8x57mm JS Mauser cartridge.

every 8x57 rifle is not equal. 8-06 and 8-06 improved may or may not be applicable. the 8-06 should be very similiar to a 8x57 imp in performance.

There was an article three or four years ago in either the Gun Digest or Handloader's Digest about the 8X57 Improved in a Ruger No. 1. Looks like a great round.

8x57 is a popular loading in Europe and many modern rifles are chambered for it.

56.5 grains H414, 2500fps, 196 grain Oryx. COL 3.230.

Can go quicker but not as accurate. No pressure signs.

Start low, work up.
