Looking for a good (cheap) source for bulk packed .223 and .30 caliber bullets as I need to load up a bunch for my AR's in .223 and .308.
What do you suggest?

In .308" I like Remington's 165 grain Core-lokt. Can't say I do much blastin' with any of my 22 center fires.

Yes and I second that . Except .223 I shoot a fair amount of . For load development I use Remington Bulk 55 & 62 Gr. Natchez or where ever you purchase yours . Are still a bargain at $5 a hundred . Compared too Top brands running $16-28 a hundred .

I printed some nice groups using Remington Bulk bullets near as good as High dollar ones !.

I like the 165 gr CoreLok'd in .308 Win. Kill deer well without terrible meat destruction too.

I use IMI or Rem 55 gr bulk bullets for blastin' in .223. I use 60 gr Nosler Partition seconds for in .223 for deer.

My HBAR has a preference for WW 63gr soft points. I get close to the same accuracy with it that I do with the Hornaday 68gr, I believe, target bullet. Kudude

These bullets will just be for killing targets and cans!
I did check Natchez and they have some reasonable prices but not earth shattering. Anyone have another source?
I don't mind buying in units of a 1,000 if I have to.

Midsouth Shooter's Supply often has the Remington components in bulk. They seem to be on order at the moment.

Widener's often has .224 IMI ball bullets. All ball bullets seem to be hard to come by just now.

Go to Gunbroker and look for reloading components and look for pulled bullets as you are just going to blast them. Good deals on pulled bullets in both calibers.

Snowwolfe---I use the Winchester bulk packed 55 grainers in .22. I use 100 grain in .243 and have not tried them in .30 yet,but I suspect the 150's would be fine. Really want cheap, cast your own.

When I was shooting my .308 Model 70 in high power matches, I used the 150 grain, FMJ Hornady bullets from T&T Reloading for 200 yard standing and sitting rapid fire. Cheap and accurate enough. Sixty bucks for 500.

I have some older Golden West .308" 168 grain FMJBT bullets. Don't look like the current ones, they have longer cylindrical sides, a relatively short conical ogive with a blunt semispitzer tip. They shoot well.

I ordered 1,000 bulk Winchester .224 55 gr FMJ from Cabelas for $58. Out of stock but they should be in here in a few weeks. Still looking for some .308s and trying to stay under $.10 each.
