Hi all, Was just wondering how often it is recommended or necessary to chamfer and deburr handgun brass? Is it a necessary part of case prep before reloading every time or do you do it on an as needed basis and if so, how do you determine if it is needed? Lastly, does it matter whether chamfering is done before deburring and vice versa? Thanks, Steve

Every time you trim. New brass (even if not trimmed by you) may benefit from a light chamfering of the case mouth to facilitate bullet seating, though this is usually more necessary with rifle brass since it isn't flared to accept the bullet. I only chamfer/de-burr hand gun brass after a trim Otherwise the flare and crimp negate it ________________________________________________ Maker of The Frankenstud Sling Keeper Proudly made in the USA Acepting all forms of payment
