Len, What bullet weight do you want to use? 40-55gr., I'd use Benchmark, H322 and other powders in that burn range, You can save the 760 for a bigger cartridge like 22-250 or 243, Jay

Don't know if it'll do you any good or not but my load in my Encore 26 inch heavy barrel is a Hornady 40 Gr. V-Max over 27 Gr. of H335 for a c.o.l. of 2.278, so far it has delivered consistent 1/2 to 3/8 th of an inch groups at 100 yds. and yeilds an average of 3665 fps. H335 might have a pretty good blast out of the shorter barrel. Hope it helps.

In exactly the same type of rifle, I'm using 27.5 grains of 748 and either Nosler Ballistic Tip or Hornady V-Max 40 grain bullets. Have enough groups from .5 to .7 to paper a wall. [Wink]
