The AB is quite a bit longer than a partition. I recently loaded some for my .280rem. & worked up to the same load as my partitions w/ good results. The AB was about 50fps slower, but pressures seem a bit lower, kind of weird w/ the bullet being longer. I want to try them in my 7mm Dakota. The bullet is an honest 1MOA in my .280rem. Good luck, let us know how it turns out. [ 05-28-2003, 04:20: Message edited by: fredj338 ]

I took some .338 225gr Accubonds to the range this weekend, in a Ruger .338 Win Mag. Compared to the Partitions, they were almost 100 fps slower. I thought the longer bullet would cause slighty higher pressures, and higher speeds, but they were slower. Very accurate, groups ranges from .9 MOA down to .65 MOA I don't know if I want to give up 100 fps, the partitions were right around 1 MOA, good enough.

I tried some .308 200 grain Accubond in my .30-06. They are longer than the Sierra 200 grain SBT. The Sierra shoots 3/4 MOA. With the same loading data, the Accubond shoots 1 MOW (Minute of Whitetail) and 50 fps slower. Not impressive.

Thanks! It will be a week or so till I get them, load, shoot ect. Well they must run a little slower than Partitions I am hoping to find a accurate load around 3000 but will take accuracy over speed. Any Powder Suggestions?

88.3gr of H1000 in a friends 300RUM with the 200gr AB is a ragged hole and at 3100fps. I'll take that!

I like RL22 or IMR7828 under the 160gr bullets. H4831 has always been accurate in the 7mag as well, but you can squeeze an add'l. 100fps or so going to a slower powder. After all, why shoot a 7mag if you are only hitting .280 vel.? Good luck w/ the load development.
